A fate-changing encounter. Jang Cheon-un was born the son of a third-rate warrior. After losing his father and getting involved with a gang, he lived a rough life until one day he saved a dying old man (Old Man Mu) by the river. As he spent time with the old man, Cheon-un began having strange dreams every night; in his dreams, he started learning martial arts from him, and in reality, he also began to grow stronger. One day, the Musketeers of Gucheonseong appeared, tracking the old man. The old man, who had been hiding his identity, vanished, and Cheon-un, accidentally entangled with them, was inducted into Gangnyeongok, the martial arts training institution of Gucheonseong. Within Gucheonseong, factions vying for control of the castle gradually began to emerge. Lord So Seong-ju senses an internal threat, but the shadows of the enemy have already fallen deep. As he faces a situation where he himself becomes a target while protecting Lord So as his bodyguard, Cheon-un makes a resolution. "I will not protect you by sacrificing my life; instead, I will become invincible and protect you without ever dying!" A crisis looms in which Lord So's life is threatened amidst a pincer attack by an internal traitor and external forces.
