Assassination Classroom summary:
Suddenly, in a split second, the once perfect circle of the moon is shattered, leaving it in a permanent crescent. Shockingly, a yellow tentacled creature claims responsibility for the explosion and warns that it will do the same to the Earth in a year's time. The creature demands a teaching position at a prestigious school, Kunugigaoka Junior High. To keep it in one place, the government obliges, leaving the students of Class 3-E with an overwhelming mission - assassinate the creature that destroyed the moon. Despite the daunting task of saving the world, the class endures additional challenges within their educational system. Discrimination from both fellow students and teachers hinders their potential for success. Without hope, they feel incapable of rising to the challenge of defeating the monster. However, Koro-sensei, the creature, takes on the role of a teacher and mentor, guiding his pupils through the dangerous world of assassination while also educating them in academia. With his guidance, the students gain the courage to take on their greatest challenge yet, their own greatest teacher. One additional story in the volume is Tokyo Department Sensou Taikenki (Tokyo Department Store War Chronicles).
